In the Details
Well if you're wondering if you've missed out on anything, let me assure you, you haven't. Baby is like his/her mom & dad as stubborn as can be. I am having lots of pressure and pain as though you'd think baby would be pushing it's way down to meet us, but there has been no labor. I am feeling like a super sized version of myself & putting on clothes is not my fav right now. My sweats and my bed suit me best. But the anticipation & discomfort will soon be over...very soon. Baby will be here by Thursday! I have pretty much given up hope of going into labor on my own before the induction date, although I guess we have right up until Wednesday evening. It will truly be Chase's child if it chooses to surprise us at the very last minute with an early arrival ;) We have decided to for sure induce & I am very, very excited to meet this little one. Not so excited about how we'll be getting to the meeting...but I figure teenagers on MTV do this, so I've gotta be able to handle it. (...right?)
The last couple of days we have been finishing up last minute things that need to be done as well as trying to spend as much time lounging on the couch or in the theatre room with each other. It's been really nice being just the two of us, & while I know becoming a trio will take some adjusting, we're excited for it. Hopefully our kid can hang with us; I mean Chase & I have gotten pretty good at being together over the last 10 years...we don't gel well with just anybody ;) But kidding aside we cannot wait to find out-pink or blue, dark hair or light hair, hyper or sleepy head, chase's features or my features...we will soon see!!
Here are some photos from the book case in the nursery. I am loving the details in the shelves.
So tomorrow is our last full day at home just us. I plan to sleep in & then get a little housework done, followed by a nice evening at home with the hubs. It's going to be lovely :)

Waiting Patiently
Okay so for those of you who know me you know that that title is a big fat lie. I am trying to be patient, but with this little one dropping lower by the day and still managing to stretch its way out I am pretty much just staring at my belly and hoping that telepathically my baby hears me say "come out, come out, COME OUT!".
Other than doing that I have been running lots of last minute errands to get this house & myself baby ready. I'm pretty much convinced that there is no store that will do this entirely for me, but I am sure trying. Chase & I have been going through nesting together. We've cleaned out closets & made bigger messes than we had before but things are getting cleared away to make more room for the new. Every time I look in a cabinet, closet, or drawer I am struck with the need to clean it out & reorganize it. So yes, nesting is in full swing here! All the nesting distracts me momentarily from the fact that my feet & hands are enormously swollen and my back is incredibly uncomfortable. As soon as I take a break to put my feet up the telepathic staring at my belly begins once again. I mean is it too much to ask to meet this little person I've been growing for the last 9.5 months??
On to what you really want to know...
Baby Progress:
As of my appointment on Tuesday we got to see Baby Pepper on our last ultrasound. It was much different than the last since baby is so big now. Before Pepper's body took up the whole screen, now just his/her head takes up the entire thing! Same with leg bones, arm bones, etc. We found out baby has hair! I am pretty excited about that since I was bald until I was about 1 year old. The way the hair looked on the ultrasound looked a bit patchy and just in one spot...so, not so excited about that! Hopefully there will be more or if not then fingers crossed for an awesome kid who has the power to pull it off in style ;)
Pepper is just 2 oz under 7lbs already & the doc estimates that when born baby will be 7lb-7.5lbs. Mama likes that because I am not too keen on pushing out an 8lber or bigger! Plus babies are just so adorable when they are tiny & feel like a baby for longer.
Everything else looked good on the ultrasound; organs are all there and appropriate and bones are looking good & measuring as they should.
As for me, I am measuring 2cm dilated now. Doc said she thinks the baby could come at any time. We did make an appointment to induce next Wednesday if nothing happens on it's own. I am hoping & praying that Baby gets a little less homey in there and decides to greet us with his/her presence earlier. But if not he/she will have a bit of help & after some discomfort I am hoping to have some relief from this back and leg pain...and an adorable baby to call my own, of course!
So stay tuned for more baby news &, if you feel like it, throw some labor prayers my way ;)

Just Waiting For Baby
The Culpepper household has been taken over by tiny toys, tiny socks, & some not so tiny necessities! This last week we got the last few big items off our registry as well as we had the nursery furniture delivered! I was finally able to wash and put away all of the adorable blankets, burp cloths, & clothes that we've so generously received for Baby Pepper. Here is a look at what a baby does to our house.
Well after months of planning & researching and after a very long day of decorating & organizing we have a completely adorable little palace for our baby. Chase & I have a few things left to finish; there is a super cute mobile to hang, a couple more pictures, & a growth chart to find and hang, then we will be set! Oh...& a baby to bring home too, can't forget that part ;) I cannot thank my patient & hardworking husband, mother, & MIL enough for all of their help in getting the room together. It is just like I imagined! I can't help be go in there several times a day. Now we're just in need of a tiny adorable Baby Pepper to put in there!
Baby Progress:
I am 1cm dilated & 50% effaced as of my last visit! Doctor says to watch out for labor, but that if nothing has happened & we're ready she can induce on March 21st or 22nd. So we'll see what baby's next move is!

Perfection!
Welcome to the baby suite ;)
I found this sign & loved every rule. Hopefully it will brain wash the baby ;)

Who Knew Diaper Bags Could Be So Sexy??
One of the first things I started to research when I found out I was pregnant was diaper bags. Yes I know...I probably could have picked more important things to research first, but let's be honest, accessorizing is pretty high up on the list of things a hot mom should research. (that's right, I aim to be a hot mom) Anywho, so I looked & looked at different bags; colors, fabric, leather, features, over the shoulder, backpack style, messenger....the list goes on & on. Then I found this one in a color that made me so excited I wanted to by it then...8 weeks pregnant. I didn't want to invest too much into this bag, so I played the field for a bit but I could never find another bag that screamed out "buy me" like this one did. So after hinting a lot a bit to my mom she made me painfully wait until just the other day on my birthday to spoil me with this bag. Not just the bag....She filled every pocket (& there are a lot of pockets) with super fun baby on the go goodies! So basically, not to brag or anything, but me & baby will be stylin' up & down the street with this beauty!
Are you in love yet?? Be on the look out for me & my bag working the grocery store isles, toy stores, parks, etc....no autographs please ;)

Couples Shower
It's been a couple weeks now but I finally have all the pics together from our couples shower! My sister in law, Kristen, did an outstanding job throwing us a fun shower with the cutest attention to detail! Chase & I had such an amazing time and Baby Pepper was so spoiled that we can't wait for he/she to get here & put all of our gifts to good use! Here are some photos from the fun afternoon:
Chase & I feel so incredibly blessed. We are getting very excited to meet our little one. I think we say, "You know, we could be parents next week", almost every week. We cannot thank Kristen enough for throwing us such a fun shower & Kathy for hosting it in her home. Everyone has helped bless and spoil our Baby Pepper with love & gifts that we are so overwhelmed with gratitude & excitement. Thank you, thank you everyone for all the advice, gifts, & love you've showered us with recently! We can't wait to share our little one with all of you!
