Holiday Events

Contrary to what you might have thought, no I have not fallen off the face of the earth.  Although it does feel like that at times.  We have been hit hard in this house with some sort of cold passed around to all of us (now for the second time around).  I have appropriately named this illness, "the plague", as it has not stopped plague me since I got in 3 weeks ago.  You're welcome Kleenex for keeping you in business this holiday season.  Vicks has been added to the mix in the last few days and I think it's safe to say I am an addict.  Chase started out with all of the plague symptoms and passed them on to me & Alyssa (thanks!!) and has now become it's victim again.  Alyssa seems to be getting the lesser of all of the symptoms which is great for us, seeing as how she is less equip to battle it out. 

So please forgive me for my lack of posting.  On top of being ill, still trying to drag ourselves in to work full time, me being a slow prego, chasing around a very active toddler, & all of the holiday to do's the blog has fallen to the back burner once again. 

To make up for this here are some photos of what we've been doing to prep & enjoy the holidays.  Please notice how normal we all are trying to look despite said plague.  Enjoy :)

Day Trip to San Antone

Yesterday my mom, Alyssa, & I headed to San Antonio to visit my good friend from college.  She just had a sweet baby girl 2 weeks ago that just needed to be held by me & Alyssa needed a play date with one of her best buds, Ryan.  My mom was awesome enough to spend the day in the car with us, including one back roads trip home thanks to some not so exciting traffic. 

It was a great visit!  Alyssa enjoyed the many ride on trucks that Ryan had to offer & my mom and I enjoyed holding a tiny 6lb bundle of adorable.  Not sure if Alyssa loved the idea of her mama holding another little baby boo.  She stood next to me as to mark her territory & promptly informed everyone in the room "baby"...as she pointed to herself.  Guess we have some explaining to do in the next 3 months before baby brother or sister arrives! 

Over all it was an awesome day.  Ended with a stop to grab pizza for dinner & home to our main man for some Texans football.  My mom and I enjoyed the time sitting around out of the car, as did Alyssa running circles around the living room screaming "touchdown".  Chase enjoyed us being home (maybe not his ear drums) & enjoyed the great first half of the Texans game...not so much the second.  But all and all it was another fun day!

All a Buzz on Halloween

Alyssa spent the day at home with my in our Halloween pjs just trying out her new big girl bedding & playing around upstairs on her slide.  She didn't know what was coming for the evening time, but I think she felt the excitement! 

 

Daddy had to work but we thought about him & talked about him all day/night long!  Alyssa can't wait to show, and share, her treats with her dada when he's home tomorrow!!

 

 

I wanted to post these pictures before I headed back to work & to a bunch of baby showers and baby visits this weekend.  Didn't want the momentous occasion to pass us/all you blog readers by ;) Now this tired bee keeper is off to get some shut eye!

Zoo Boo!

Last weekend we spend the whole weekend with Yia Yia, Boom Boom, Aunt Mckenzie, & cousin Lillee!  It was such a fun time!  Here are photos taken of the girls at the Houston Zoo Boo!

 It was a great weekend full of lots of fun!  So fun having the girls in town & Mckenzie and I got to spend almost a whole hour alone to catch up!  Can't wait to see these girlies again!
