Our beautiful baby girl is two months old today! I still am wishing I could freeze time! Work will be calling my name in less than a month & I am so unprepared to leave my boo. I have loved having these last two months to focus only on Alyssa. We are now on a schedule that starts very early in the morning & consists of lots of smiling, oohing & aahing, and eating every 2 hours, oh & with some cat naps here and there (for baby not mama, unfortunately). Yep she wears me out! We eat, play, then sleep...then repeat!
I am stealing, once again, from another blogger that I frequent because I just love the way she records her son's current likes, dislikes, & habits.
Dear sweet Alyssa Kate,
These last two months you have developed into your own little person. You are a morning person (who knew that could happen...). You light up as soon as you hear my voice & it makes those early mornings not so hard. You follow mommy or daddy around the room when we walk & you look in our direction when we talk. You love play time on your mat & you've gotten so good at grabbing at the rings hanging from the elephant. You are independent, but only for a little while, then you want me to sit next to you & talk to you. You love when I talk, about anything...even when I read you my Bringing Up Bebe book ;) You get really still & quiet when you hear your daddy's voice; it's almost like you're studying it & trying to remember it since you don't hear it as often as mommy's. People still say you look like a mini me, but mommy & Aunt Shannon think you have your daddy's expressions. You are a tiny thing, the doctor keeps worrying that you're not growing as much as you should, but mommy & daddy know you're just a petite little thing like mommy was as a baby. You aren't always happy. You give mommy & daddy an earful when you get yourself too tired & don't know what to do about it. You pout your bottom lip out so far that we can't help but feel sorry for you. Oh and I can't leave out how much you love to stretch! You could stretch all day & you make the funniest faces while doing it. You are the best thing that mommy & daddy have ever done...and we are so head over heels in love with you.
Can't wait to see what else this little one has in store for us. I'm off to enjoy my last month with my princess!
