We have been enjoying our little girl's first holiday season so much! Unfortunately that does not include Thanksgiving...poor boo is going to look back on the photos & be like, "what the heck mom & dad?!" I worked Thanksgiving...and all the days around it. So we just skipped it. Chase was playing daddy daycare that day & planned to go over to my family's to enjoy some food, football, and a game he really enjoys, "pass the baby around". So up he got on a ridiculously warm Thanksgiving morning. He woke up early to make his car look all sexy like & what does his car pay him back with...a dead battery. After trying all day to fix it himself between feeding times, play times, & nap times it was 5pm and poor baby daddy had no turkey, no gravy, no stuffing, nada. So needless to say there were no cute pictures taken with Alyssa in her pretty yellow dress & tights mommy laid out, no photos of her in the background being kissed on by family while Chase yelled at the football game, no videos of my Uncle Jim reaching new octaves while speaking to baby girl. It was just not the Thanksgiving to remember, but I'm sure it will be one Chase won't forget. My mom did pack us up a proper Thanksgiving meal & she rescued hubs just before I arrived home from work so that he could eat with both hands free.
Here is the photo I got from Chase of Alyssa playing in the backseat of his car while he attempted to fix it. He appropriately captioned the photo with..."I think she was trying to call a mechanic for me".

Anyway, back to Christmas cheer. Here are some snaps from getting our tree together & some from tonight while we did Christmas with Yia Yia & Boomer. They'll be leaving us this holiday season to spend time in Oklahoma so we stole an hour this afternoon to eat some adorably yummy cupcakes & do a little showering of gifts for baby girl. One of the gifts was a bit out of control (*cough*Kevin*cough, cough*). Let's just say if I could put a scowling emoticon I would. So instead just invision me scowling in your direction Boom Boom. I've decided we'll name him Bearington Boo Boo, Beary for short, after his creator Kevin, Boomer-Boom Boom- Boo Boo Bridges. You're welcome. Who knows where Beary will live, we'll probably have to get him his own room he's so big.
